The Etoile skirt is a full skirt constructed in 16 gores, with zigzag seaming creating an eight-pointed star. Perfect for the festive season or cocktails!

This skirt was inspired by vintage examples I’ve seen using contrasting textures in a monochomatic colour scheme (such as my velvet and taffeta version), but would look equally fabulous in two-tone, or a combination of print and plain fabrics.

This is a deceptively easy sew since all the seams are straight lines - the only technical part is getting the points to line up!
